This seven-day private journey expands the Chongqing–Chengdu route with Dazu, Sanxingdui and Dujiangyan. Explore Chongqing’s urban landmarks, spend a full day at the Dazu rock-carving sites, then travel by high-speed rail to Chengdu for Sichuan Opera, ancient Shu archaeology, the Dujiangyan irrigation system, giant pandas and local teahouse culture.
Daily timing and itinerary order may change with traffic, weather, attraction closures, ticket availability and local operating conditions.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Chongqing
Private arrival transfer and hotel check-in.
Day 2 — Chongqing City Highlights
Visit Liziba, Ciqikou, Chongqing People’s Great Hall, People’s Square, Three Gorges Museum, Yangtze River Cableway, Longmenhao Old Street and Hongya Cave.
Three Gorges Museum is closed Mondays.
Day 3 — Dazu Rock Carvings
Private drive to Dazu. Visit Changzhou Ancient City, Baodingshan Rock Carvings, Beishan Rock Carvings and Dazu Rock Carvings Museum, then return to Chongqing.
Source notes Dazu Rock Carvings Museum is closed Mondays.
Day 4 — Chongqing → Chengdu
Take the confirmed second-class high-speed rail from Chongqing to Chengdu. Transfer to the Chengdu hotel, visit Kuanzhai Alley and attend a Sichuan Opera / face-changing experience according to ticket and theater availability.
Transport note:
Only the confirmed Chongqing → Chengdu rail segment is published.
Day 5 — Sanxingdui & Dujiangyan
Visit Sanxingdui Museum. Due to museum controls, the current arrangement is a shared explanation group of around 20 people; private 1-to-1 guiding is not guaranteed.
Continue to Dujiangyan Scenic Area for the arranged private 1-to-1 explanation. Waiting may be required during major holidays, and the arrangement is subject to local operations.
Continue to Yangtianwo Square and the Nanqiao evening view.
Day 6 — Giant Pandas & Chengdu Local Life
Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, People’s Park, Heming Teahouse, Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li.
Day 7 — Departure from Chengdu
Private transfer to Chengdu airport or railway station.
