Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Chengdu
Arrive in Chengdu and meet your driver for a private airport or railway-station transfer to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy free time around central Chengdu. The source itinerary places the hotel around the Chunxi Road area, making Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li convenient for an independent evening walk.
Day 2 – Sanxingdui Museum & Dujiangyan
After breakfast, travel to Sanxingdui Museum for an in-depth look at the extraordinary bronze masks, ritual objects and archaeological discoveries of the ancient Shu civilization. Due to current museum management rules, the standard commentary arrangement is a shared group explanation of around 20 guests.
Continue to Dujiangyan, the ancient irrigation system that has served the Chengdu Plain for more than two millennia. The source itinerary includes private commentary here. Later, visit Yangtianwo Square for the giant panda sculpture and continue to Nanqiao Bridge for the illuminated riverside night view when conditions allow.
Day 3 – Giant Pandas & Chengdu Local Life
Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in the morning. Continue to People’s Park and Heming Teahouse for a taste of Chengdu’s relaxed teahouse culture. Later, spend time around Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, where traditional city life meets contemporary Chengdu.
Day 4 – Du Fu, Three Kingdoms & Sichuan Opera
Visit Du Fu Thatched Cottage, the former Chengdu residence of the celebrated Tang-dynasty poet. Continue to Wuhou Shrine, dedicated to Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang and the heritage of the Shu Han kingdom. Explore Kuanzhai Alley before enjoying a Sichuan Opera performance featuring traditional acts and the famous face-changing art. Performance time is subject to ticket availability and local scheduling.
Day 5 – Departure from Chengdu
Enjoy a relaxed morning and free time according to your flight or train schedule. Your driver will transfer you to the airport or railway station for departure.
